How It Works

TISB Hacks is more than coding — it's a multi-track challenge testing design, ideation, logic, and build skills.

01

UI/UX Design Challenge

45 minutes 🎨 Figma / Canva

Participants will be given an app prompt on the spot. Based on this prompt, design the main UI screen (home / primary screen) of the application.

Judging Focus
  • User experience — clarity, flow, usability
  • Visual hierarchy and layout
  • Creativity and relevance to the prompt
📄 Submit a single main screen design that clearly communicates the app's purpose and user journey.
02

Idea Pitching Round

30 min prep 💡 Theme on-the-spot

Receive a theme on the spot and conceptualize an innovative idea aligned with that theme. This round tests ideation, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Judging Focus
  • Originality of the idea
  • Problem identification
  • Feasibility and impact
  • Clarity of explanation
03

Code It Out

45 minutes 📝 30 Questions 💻 Any Language

A logic-based coding assessment designed to be accessible to participants from different programming backgrounds. The round focuses on thinking ability rather than language-specific expertise.

Question Types
  • Basic programming logic
  • Debugging
  • Output-based questions
  • Simple algorithms
🚀

Main Hackathon

📅 Starts Tomorrow 🛠 Any Tools / Frameworks

The main coding phase begins! Build your solution using any tools, frameworks, or libraries you prefer. This is where your team brings the idea to life.

🤖 AI Usage Policy

AI tools may be used sparingly for reference or debugging. However, excessive dependence on AI-generated code is strongly discouraged. Teams must clearly understand and be able to explain all submitted code.
